5 Hottest Trends in Permanent Makeup

The world of beauty just never stops evolving! Something that used to be considered awful in the past could become the hottest trend of today. It is like a wheel that keeps rotating. From time to time, people go back to what used to be cool during the yester years after running out of new stuff to explore. In this blog, we will discuss what’s hot right now in the world of permanent makeup.

The rising trend of Permanent makeup in India is very steep, for the obvious benefit of looking presentable all the time, without having to do anything. It is almost like a superpower. After all, if you can emulate the effect of applying makeup with something without having to “Apply-Remove-Reapply” daily, why wouldn’t someone do it? People also use permanent makeup to camouflage certain skin and hair condition that causes discoloration, baldness, etc.

Here are the 5 hottest trends in permanent makeup which are most popular these days:

1. Microblading

Microblading is one of the first things that a person learns when getting introduced to permanent makeup. It is undoubtedly the most popular PMU treatment. As it involves creating 3D hair-like strokes using PMU tools and pigments, it is very effective in creating natural-looking, sultry and bold eyebrows. Small nicks and cuts are made using tools and then pigment is left to settle in those areas. For people with extremely sparse eyebrows, it works magic. A perfectly micro-bladed eyebrow does not look fake at all unless observed very carefully. However, the only back draw is that microblading is not suitable for oily-skinned people. The oil can move the pigments from their place and the lines drawn will not be perfect.

2. Microshading/Ombre brows

Microshading or Ombre brows is the next popular PMU treatment after microblading. Aesthetically, microblading and microshading give very distinct effects. While microblading emulates the natural direction of hair growth using the 3D drawing technique, microshading gives the look of filled-in eyebrows. It looks as if you have filled in your eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil or pomade. While microblading is more suitable for dry-skinned people, micro shading is suitable for everyone. Many people also customize their requirements by opting for a mix of the two techniques for achieving a specific look.

3. Lip blushing

Lip blushing is a great substitute for smudge-proof lip stains and tinted lip balms. It is used as a camouflage for discolored lips. Many people have pigmented lips as a result of regular smoking or some health condition. It is also quite normal for people with skin of color to get dark lips naturally. Alternatively, some people have very pale lips. This treatment can rectify all these situations in a fuss-free manner and make the lips look naturally healthy and evenly colored.

4. Scalp Micropigmentation

Scalp micro pigmentation is a blessing for people facing premature hair loss. The maximum number of customers opting for this treatment are cancer patients and men. People who have lost a lot of hair can fill up the sparse area in their heads with this technique. It is a better and long-lasting alternative to sprays and other products which gives the same effect. Alternatively, men who have lost a significant amount of hair can use the technique to create the illusion of hair growing out, similar to what happens after shaving off their heads.

5. Scar camouflage

Apart from beautifying someone’s eyebrows, lips and face, permanent makeup is an effective way to camouflage discoloration of skin in other parts of the body as well. People with vitiligo benefit a lot from this technique as the skin color can be restored using permanent makeup pigments. It is also beneficial to people with scars for the same reason. Certain surgical procedures, accidents, and injuries leave the skin with scars and discoloration. All these can be easily hidden with permanent makeup.
